Hi,
I guess you are all Mike's friends, so I thought I'd post the link that I have posted Mike's letters at. You can find his letters posted here:
http://jerbl.com/lorrie/MikesLettersMain.html
His letters are fun to read. Mike has such a wonderful way with words.
Hi,
Do you want to know what the road conditions are where Mike is? Well, here is a website you can visit.
http://www.oregon.com/roadcams/index.cfm
Click on the "Bend" area box. That is where Mike is at present.
There is also another website that is similar to that one, but it lists road hazards, etc. (kind of like Road Conditions Plus). It is located at:
http://www.oregon.com/roadcams/conditions/Bend.htm
Again click on Bend and it will take you to that area.

Hey Jeremy, I did it... Sometimes I even surprise myself!!!

Jeremy,
It's good to see that you have a soft heart -- course I think I always knew it was there, just kind of hidden.
I liked your poem, glad it was only that - a poem!
Love,
Mom
Jeremy,
You must be -- your computer must have something ours do not -- like a CREATE button. We only get the following choices:
Album list My profile Logout [caramel-cashew]
Last uploads Last comments Most viewed Top rated My Favorites Search
None of them include CREATE. I don't know why, but it is not there.
Hopefully you can figure it out -- actually, I know better than that. You're much better than hopefully -- I know you'll be able to figure this one out.
Thanks,
Mom
Hey I'm back again. Got a question....
Who is the baby standing by the chair? I don't think it's me -- hair isn't curly enough (mom kept me in curlers all the time!! :-) )
I thought maybe Terry or Cyndi, but I don't recognize the chair or other stuff in the picture. Please let me know who it is -- I'd be most grateful!!
Love ya,
Mom
Hi Jeremy,
Just got off the phone with you and am trying to figure how to add to your gallery. I signed in just as you said and clicked on "gallery", but cannot find a way to add anything. Please advise .... please do it via email as I might not get it through here.
Thanks so much,
Love ya,
Mom
Thought you would like to see this from the Kansas City Star.

Church leader won't pick successor
?Inappropriate choices' cited in resignation
By BRIAN BURNES
The Kansas City Star
W. Grant McMurray, who resigned this week as president of the Community of Christ, will depart from church tradition and not nominate a successor.
Church law outlines how successors can be named, McMurray said Friday.
?Rather than engage that issue, I simply would rather leave that to the officers who have my full and complete confidence,? he said.
McMurray declined to elaborate on why he left the position.
In a letter of resignation posted this week on the church's Web site, McMurray referred to ?inappropriate choices? he had made during his tenure, adding that the circumstances of his life now are such that ?I cannot continue to effectively lead the church.?
McMurray said he preferred to let the letter speak for itself.
?There have been some issues within my family that we have had to struggle with,? he said. ?I got to a point that I did not feel it appropriate to continue in the church leadership.?
What McMurray referred to as ?inappropriate choices? do not represent anything that would result in criminal charges, said Linda Booth, church communications director.
?If there was something illegal, having to do with children or embezzlement or anything like that, we would take it very seriously,? Booth said.
McMurray, 57, cited family issues and health concerns in his announcement. He said he recently was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
McMurray said that since the announcement he had been ?inundated with e-mails. ? People have been extremely warm and sensitive. They understand that within the ministry you live under something like a microscope, and that it is very difficult for people to deal with personal issues.?
A Web site question-and-answer forum from Kenneth Robinson and Peter Judd, McMurray's two counselors in the church's governing First Presidency, reiterated that details of the resignation would be withheld to ?respect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals.? The statement added that ?speculation and rumor are destructive and to be discouraged.?
Until a successor is named, Robinson and Judd will serve as equal church presidents. Both hope a new president can be named in time for the next church World Conference, scheduled for 2006.
Until 2001 the denomination was known as the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Based in Independence, it claims about 250,000 members.
"At least I am not burning them anymore"
Jeremy, I'm glad you're not doing that anymore. I can't check out the garbage anymore. You're too far away. (hee hee)
I understand your feelings from your point of view. But.... now think of it from my point of view. Frankly, I'm thankful for both companies. I'm thankful they are both putting out movies. For years we parents had NOTHING to take our children to. The only movies were PG-13 and R. Most were rated R. There was NOTHING for the kids!!! Now you see lots of movies for kids to see. I'm so thankful for all the wonderful animated movies that are out there. So.... please see both sides before knocking down something that I think is good. I'm sorry for the "Office Politics". It is everywhere. It is prophesied that this will be everywhere. Ummmmm ... what is that scripture mastery about people in the last days being lovers of their own selves etc. Tis true -- we are.
Just my two bits and now ........... ta da!!!! I'll step down off my soap box!!!
Hi,
Even though I was a Bush supporter, I have to admit that Kerry's concession speech was great! He was all for putting America back together. I was impressed with his humility and support for America. Even though I didn't like the way he put Bush down during the debates, I really feel that he has a good heart.
If you want to check out the speech videos, check it out on msn.
I didn't see the blue link -- sorry. But the site is really neat. Thanks.
For those of you who might be computer challenged as I seem to be, here is a blue link to the site:

Jeremy,
I want you to remember this:
Ether 12:27
27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them.
... and ...
Alma 37:6-7
6 Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.
7 And the Lord God doth work by means to bring about his great and eternal purposes; and by very small means the Lord doth confound the wise and bringeth about the salvation of many souls.
Thought you'd like these.
Jeremy, thanks for the gallery. I fixed it up yesterday.
Love ya

Bye for now!
I had to laugh at Carmen's comments about Jeremy's Precious Moments interest. I'm glad his brother took pictures of his collection. I think his collection is nice -- it makes the basement look nice.
I would say more, but Monisawa says I best not say anymore. So I will stop now. Moms can be such a pain, can't they? :-#
Well, Jeremy keep working on your schoolwork and keep trying.
](*,) Hopefully you didn't do as bad on that test as you think you did. :!: :!: :!: Well, I best get off before I say something I shouldn't.
Thanks Jeremy for the list. It's nice to catch up on how you are doing. A lot faster than when you were on your mission (three weeks to get a letter). =; =;
Have a great Sunday!
Let me be the first!!! :-({|=
Happy birthday to you

Yes that is my understanding also. I hope it works. I've done it with a song or two I've written...... Now where did I put that envelope?????

Welcome to this forum that my son has graciously set up for us.
It is my hope that the teachers at Dobbs Elementary will use this forum to request categories that they are in need of for Computer Lab. Try to give me as much advanced notice as you can because some topics can take hours to find good website links.
I can add new categories to list on my main page - and I can also add links to existing categories. This is to make it easier for you to contact me and for me to get back with you.
If you find a website that you particularly like, please post it on this forum also and I'll make sure to check it out.
Thanks for the opportunity for me to serve and help you.
Also, parents if you find a problem trying to find the exact place a 2nd Grade teacher has asked your son/daughter to do for homework, post it here also and I'll see if I can help you.
Thanks again. May this forum be a valueable tool for your Computer Lab.
Lorrie (aka caramel-cashew)
Hi son,
Sorry for being so distant - life here has gotten very complicated, but hopefully things will brighten up soon. Dad is staying awake more and is being alot more alert. His blood pressure is up though. So we're checking on cholesterol levels and starting back on the high blood pressure medicine. Hopefully that will help. Then with diet change to low fat and exercising more maybe that will help him feel better.
I am sorry that life is so hard for you. Life can be that way. I promise that these experiences are preparing you for the future. It only gets harder. So work with what you have and get better each day. Remember life is like climbing a mountain. You may hit plataeaus (I know I spelled it wrong - but who cares?) but you aren't up to the top yet. And there is always one more mountain to climb. But..... I know you can do it -- you are not a quitter!!!
So keep smiling and learn to enjoy the ride!! Get you a social life!!! Even if it is only 15 minutes. Do something fun!!! That is a commandment from your mother!

Well enough lecturing. I love you. I will try harder to check back on your posts and see how you are doing. I appreciate the phone calls too. It is nice to keep in touch.
Love ya always,
Mom
..GAS, which by the way is around 1.90 out here, I wonder how it is everywhere else.
Hi Jeremy,
Gas is $1.71 here in Missouri at our regular outlet on Blue Ridge.Nice list here. Seems when I'm on, no one else is. When everyone else is, someone else is on the computer so I can't get on. Go figure. ](*,)
Glad to know things are going good. We'll keep you in our prayers. [-o<
Hope these smilies work. 8)
