Mike Letter

Looks like he is sending them by Email now, so it would be a pitty not to share...

Dear Family,

I hope everyone doesn't mind that I am sending e-mails to everyone....I just thought that everyone could experience the letters more... ^__^

Well first on the agenda today is that I am GETTING TRANSFERED!  The only problemo is that I don't know where to and who I am gettting paired up with...isn't that always the case?!  ^_^  Well as a side note I got my first responsiblity call from President Fugal and he said that I was going to go and Whitewash an area with another good and trustworthy missionary!!!  And white-wash means that you are two fresh missionaries replacing the two missionaries that are there! So unfortunately I won't have a companion who can introduce us to the members and know the schedule of church and soforth. So anyway, I will hope to send the family a letter or somethin' tellin' you where I went and my address and who my  companion is.  I am leaving tomarrow at 7:15 a.m. and don't know where I am going.  Probably  south..though it won't be medford again.  ^_^ -_-  sigh....

On a side note, my companion, Elder Demille is training a BRAND NEW MISSIONARY and I will get to meet him and spend the night together ^_^  HORAAYYY!!  ^_^ ^_^  ^_^_^_^_^_^___^^^(My whole district here in Springfield was affected by responsiblity calls.)

So I have wondered and have always believed this one way, but, "IS KANSAS CITY ALL ONE BIG CITY? " That is what I have always thought. It is one city with one central mayor, it just has the state border that divides it...right?

WEll, we had our zone conference last week and I saw one of the members from my ward in Bend, and I asked him about Scottie, who was one of the people that Elder Davis and I had been working with...and HE IS GETTING BAPTISED!!!!!!!!!!!! It wont be till October, but it is just exciting, because it was with Elder Davis and I that we taught him his first lesson and even tried to commit him to baptism, but his mom was a little apprehensive... sigh...but NOW IT IS GOIN" THROUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also at Zone conference, my trainer, elder davis gave his farewell testimony . ON thursday this week he will be back in California...back home, because his mission is now up. He is so neat and I am just glad that I got to be around him.

Ya know I am always thinkin' about our animals and I am pretty sure that Taffy is just mixed with two different doggish animals...and that would be a Chow and a Spitz. ^_^  There is a dog who reminds me  so much of taffy, so that is why this came to mind.  His dogs name is "BEAR."

As a note thank you so much for the package!!!!!  I loved everything I got, but truthfully the absolute favorite thing that I got was the little booklet with stickers and th ings, and drawings.  That was so funny and original I just thought that it was the greatest thing that I have ever gotten!!!!!!! ^_^ BTW I loved the ties as well.  I needed some and they are just a dashing spice to my small collection!

The other day I was at an LDS bookstore and my mind wandered to that wierd show that has been so highly  mentioned, namely, "Liken  the scriptures," or somethin' like that....wellllll I looked for them and looked at the cover and at the back and truly it has my  approval.  It looks so funny and just amazing that I can't wait to watch it!!!! ^_^

Well since I am getting trasnfered I am sendin' a package home with a bunch of goodies to give away, and others to put into my "Storage."
One of the goodies is MY NEWSPAPER!!!!!!!!!!!! YEA!!  and a couple other things.  I love the newspaper and I know you will too!

Right now in the life of my mission, everything is incredible and there are power that are backing me up, day to day. I just love the feelings that come to my heart and life as I read and ponder the scriptures and think about what I teach.  It is such an amazing experience and everyday I work sincerely, pray, study and learn I grow.

Well, until I find out where I am going and who I am with...etc, I guess I don't have much more to talk about.  On the side note, I have sent to seemingly mid-sized cities, like in the 50,000 population range, but I sense maybe I might get sent to....uh 1,000 size..... ^_^ who knows, I might even get sent to salem, the capital. Ha ha ah......sigh.  I hope they don't accidentally make me the driver..because my liscense expired in august...!!!!!

Love you all more than I can ever reallly tell. I am glad that all is well and nothing "BAD" is going on.  Truthfully I have learned a hundred fold about how great our family really is.  Our family is truly amazing and I can attribute it to our amazing parents who took great pains in instructing us in the ways of freedom and GOD!

LOVE you,

Elder Blake
