In Wind Waker, I found out that that teacher lady gives you jewely (e.g. a mask) if you get her enough joy pendants (I had about 60 total I gave her, but I don't know what the requirement is). At first I thought the item was just simply for viewing the hitpoint stats for monsters (that was in the description), but apparently it also shows up on Link's face. The thing isn't equipped by default, but once you equip it you can leave it on for the rest of the game if you wish (or remove it if/when you find it too hideous).
And yes, this means I've been playing Wind Waker a lot recently. Believe it or not, I didn't look this item up in an FAQ. Just found it randomly. I only now started using the FAQ after I sailed to every square of the sea chart grid and explored most areas (still have two dungeons left, which means the hookshot-only areas are inaccessible). One interesting thing I've begun to find is charts that you find using treasure charts. The charts you pull up from the ocean are varied. Some pinpoint sea heart pieces (heart pieces found using other treasure charts), some show island heart pieces (heart pieces found on dry ground), and this weird one called "Light Ring Chart"... I'm not sure what it does yet. Something about treasure at specific points on a full moon, but it's not making much sense to me (not sure if it means normal light rings or uber light rings). :0f:
All and all, ocean travel has become a lot more fun in this game... though I STILL want vast, vast dry ground. I know Twilight Princess will have that! :02:

If it'd come out, we'd be playing it and not posting.

...Man, you two need help. Ever heard of "out of sight, out of mind?" I think Mike the Unrelated knew this when he said "There is no Zelda." It's all about state of mind, probably some sort of Zen thing. ![]()
Or we could always see if a "Zeldaholics Anonymous" exists. :0f:
