Ok since jeremy left our oh so loving walmart, we have had 3 new stockman hired, one was fired for time theft (caught buying a cd on the clock) steve was fired for time theft as he always had, kyle, one of the new guys works worse than Jim, he clears the two rows closest to tudor road and thats it, hes been there a month and only pusehd on gm once, Greg is a fun guy to hang out with, but frankly when he works alone with jim and i come in at 3 after my classes are over it appears as if jim was alone the entire day, so he doesnt really do anything when hes alone,
we got a new front end manager, Jeff, he kinda has a burt reynolds looking mustache and thats funny looking, he pushes carts when it gets bad out there, which is quit often, for that aspect i like him, and thats about the only aspect i do like about him, enstead of telling us kindly to not push through the front doors he rather tells the door greeters to write our names down, and what time we push through the front doors, so hes a two face,
kenton was suspose to work 7-4 yesterday, and didnt show up, he apparently had a tree branch fall through his truck window and break it out, sounds odd and made up? thats what i thought too, but it happened, he got around to calling walmart at about 12 that same day to tell them the story, so his call in was 5 hours late,
the next day kenton shows up in joes trans am so i was suprised to find out his story was true
and just today, about 20 minutes ago kenton called me, he worked his usuall 2-7 shift on sundays, and our new manager jeff had the cutiousy to fire kenton 2 minutes before his shift was over becuase of his 5 hour late call-in, now dont get me wrong it makes me mad when he calls in, and comes in 15 minutes late everyday, but calling in 5 hours late? there was no reason to fire him over that, managers are so ignorent! they are suspose to be hiring more people for the holidays, but what do they do? they fire one of the competent stockmen we actually had, and hes been there for over three years so he had lots of experiance, i dont know if he'll get his job back or what, i dont think he will, i think : like all of us are fed up with the stuff management pu ts all us through,
i write this to vent, and i seriously think its time for a change, i need to get out of walmart, i have great friends there, but i think its time for a new job, if anyone has any ideas, or have heard of openings in some businesses please post your information,
thanks for letting me vent, ps i miss how Jeremy would put managers in their place by telling then the hard to hear truth.
Just one voice, al-be-it a dull murmur in the endless echo of the masses.

Well, I'm sad to hear that they fired Kenton, I remember talking to him about it, and he would never fight it because he seemed to just want to go with the flow. That was back when they gave him a d-day over something ridiculously stupid, and I don't remember exactly. Its nice to hear that you have a whole load of people that don't work well, I understand your feelings about quiting and moving on, and I guess we all reach that sometimes. I'd say stick to your guns until you can find something else and then move, but sadly enough, what might be best is to move inside somewhere. Although I don't think they would like that idea much, so maybe a transfer to another Wal-Mart. That is of course only the easiest solutions, good luck on that.
As for putting managers in their place, its a small wonder that I am remembered for that. Here, thank goodness, management has left us completely alone. Most managers won't even give me eye contact, let along the time of day. Most of the CSMs are pretty cool, but I don't really know them either and everybody stays out of my way. I don't know if this is a temporary thing, or if this is how it is going to be for a while, with management always shifting in and out you never know. It looks like the upper management at least will stay for a while, I wouldn't know if either of them have aspirations to go higher, but I haven't heard any rumors either.
As for busyness level, black friday came and went and it sure was busy, but I am more concerned about the weather, it sure was cold yesterday. I've learned to accept a lot of things that I hadn't before, and hopefully if management ever does start growling at us, that I would have the decency to just humbly nod and go do whatever they asked me too. Not because I'm humble
but because if I don't I risk getting fired and that is a super bad thing with my out of state tuition to be paid.
All in all, just hang in there and realize (cold hard truth = on) that every job is going to stink one way or another, just figure out if wal-mart stinks in ways that you can manage to bear. Thinking back to what they were making me do, I can only imagine what they have made you guys do. Say hi to everyone, haven't heard from most for a while, hope life is treating them ok.
