Random rant: AHH! GES! O_o

I don't know whether I mean this to express something, or just for humor.  Guess a little of both, otherwise I wouldn't have a weird title.

Anyway, I can't stand GES!  GES is an acronym for a term I call "Glowing Eye Syndrome."  It's not a real syndrome... unless you have a bit too much radiation :!:.  It's just a pet peeve of mine that seems to show up a lot in most games and art that deals with animals (usually fictional).  It seems to be extremely prevalent in designs for dragons, which specifically bug me the most.  I don't know what it is, but I just feel certain animals (real or not) should have pupils in their eyes.  Otherwise, I'm left to believe they're either dumb as a post or evil.  I would've probably made a Bahamut avatar by now if he had pupils in ANY of the Final Fantasy games!  :?

(note:  Yes, I'm aware that some animals, usually smaller ones, tend to have one color in their eye and no visible white.  Although, sometimes if you look closely, you can see that there is a pupil and an iris, though they are of a same or similar color.  Wonder if that's for camoflauge reasons or better vision during the night).

Actually, that's glare.  You'll notice my avatar has that too.  It's used to give a bit more dimension to the eye.  Most of what I'm talking about is more of a "blank" eye.  Besides, I'm only talking about artwork here.  It's not a real syndrome.  =P

Not talking human eye, but anime eye, the huge shimmer that is so apparent smile  Now that I have thought about it, I guess you are right, but blank eyes look so much more deep and sometimes sinister tongue
