Nemo - April 16th, 2006

Because Nemo is such an awesome cat, he gets his own little post. I?m going to try and explain him, though this is no small task. Nemo is Mike?s cat, my mom says Mike dreamed him up and God sent him. He found him while I was on my mission, so I didn?t get to see his early development. I have heard many stories about him, though the one that amazed me the most was during one winter when my family still had a pool in the back yard (above ground btw, but gone now). The cover was of course water proof and retained water to the point that it would have a sizeable enough chunk on the top to freeze and provide a nice skating rink, but for who? Well Nemo wasn?t about to let something like this go to waste, he would occasionaly be seen outside on top of the ice, leaping as high as he could and twisting his body all around and then landing on the ice. He also attacks people, just ask April, he is psycho and then he isn?t. He is calm and cool, then he is right up in your face and you wish you were dead or at least you feel like it for a minute. Weird. While he never attacked me, I managed to only tease him every now and then, so as not to excite him into doing so to me, because when he attacks, he leaps, claws, bites, and then runs. I think its just the wildness in him coming out, he gets pampered far to much, but we do let him out during the day. He is also seen running up trees, attacking them like they move, glaring at all who approach, then running back down the tree. Since Mike is on his mission, I can?t really tell you the whole story, but I will dig up some photos so you can at least see what he looks like. Of all the cats we have had in the history of our family, I have to say the reward for the most unique goes to Nemo, hands er? paws down.
