Jeremy wants help...

Now the question is, does anyone want to give it to him.

Scan.JPG

Any suggestions on what I might do to make my style look a little better?  I'm not looking for a style change, rather I am looking for those lines that add dimension and depth.  For those that have questions, its for a story that I have been planning for too long to count.

The only thing that I can tell that would add depth, without adding color or shading or doing the picture myself, would be to add descriptive lines....which are like the creases in the clothes...personally I would just add a skewed shadow on the ground.  Adding shadows always do the trick to creating depth too.

Um...Well...this seems like sort of a character sheet, sketch.  Is that a device that's SUPPOSED to on her..or..what? You could check out some medieval styles or ask someone *like me* to give you some ideas via sketching, since I'm a big clothes freak.

He never got back to answering you because he was at the library and the internet cut him off. -_-  speaking of, I shouldn't be on at this time of night.  My internet is cut off at 10:30 my time, which is 9:30 your time.  My mom let me on so I could bid on that thing that ended 30 minutes ago.....

Cuz I'm on wireless...and my parents don't care anymore...Though they used to..about....a.....I don't know how long. They go on and off about my computer. Some days they just decide me having my own computer is evil--the rest of the time they're like, "Okay, whatever."

OK, thanks very much in advance.

BTW, mike, any demonstrations of said shading?  It shouldn't take to much time to demonstrate as I don't have rather complicated pictures wink

I didn't add any of the suggestions on the side of the pic, except for the bold colors, which that was just coincidental. -_-  I decided that creases would only complicate the picture and you are going for a simple style.  Stay at a level that you can maintane...which means keep things to what you can handle.  The shading that I did was just a simple shading at different angles.  Clothes can be observed in different areas.  Also note, the colors were just randomly picked from crayola markers...they are in no way suggesting what yours should look like.

NOTE:  If you want an example for creases and complicated shadows, even just simple shadows, I will tell you what Miyazaki siad to one of the younger staff members, "OBSERVE everything around you..."  especially since you are drawing clothes...look at people as the walk by and the way that their clothes create depth....that is the best method I can suggest. (I LOVE DOING THIS PART OF ART.  Looking observing and applying.)
