Playstation 3 Date Fail Triggers DRM Protection

Today after a meeting I came home with my brother all excited about showing him some of the things that I have spent my cash on as of late, and with that crazy deal of Burnout Paradise and all its DLC going for 30 bucks I wanted to show him the Delorean copy and how it floated around the road.  Now I know that this has been out forever but I just barely got it, and I was excited.  I turn on my PS3 and boom ‘failed to start’ flashed on my screen with the only option to quit.  What?  Well didn’t expect that, I’ll try Flower just to see whats up, same error.  Well Google is my friend so I checked out the error code online and its global.  And there is still no fix.  So for the time being, all my Playstation Network Store purchased games, completely useless.  Makes me feel all fuzzy inside like I just dumped my money in a can and set fire to it, for fun… thanks Sony.  I’ll be a little more wary of a system that treats paying users like thieves when something goes wrong.

Whoa, PSN games actually use DRM? For real? This has to be the most ludicrous place I’ve seen DRM pop up.

By the way, I think I may have come across the most annoying use of DRM ever (http://games.slashdot.org/story/10/02/27/163226/The-Awful-Anti-Pirate-System-That-Will-Probably-Work). The horrifying part is that it seems to be one of the few legitimately hacker resistant ones, in addition to being extremely annoying. That’s scary.

Has he not beat any of them? I thought he beat H3? I know he went on a posting spree about the ending a while back…

Just Halo 2, the only one I’ve beat.

By the way, you know that DRM thing I linked to in the first comment here? Apparently it already got cracked. (http://games.slashdot.org/story/10/03/05/027258/Ubisofts-New-DRM-Cracked-In-One-Day)
