I can focus on media, such as games, movies, and reading, yet I can get myself to sit down and write! In fact, it took me a while to get myself into reading too (long story short, Ender's Game almost broke it: Harry Potter 3 fueled the revival). I've come to the conclusion that media has become part sedative, part attention filler. It's about the only time I have any real focus.
